The drugs were discovered yesterday when officers stopped a van that had arrived on a ferry from the UK.
No arrests were made during the searches in Co Louth today.
The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was requested to attend the scene and safely removed the explosive devices.
Three individuals were arrested during the search by multiple garda units in Galway.
Gardaí said they seized 153 cannabis plants.
Two men were arrested.
