Gardaí discovered 17 vacuum-packed bags, weighing approximately 1kg each, in the back of an abandoned van.
Gardaí have confirmed that no injuries have been reported.
The incident took place in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The seizures were carried out at two public locations.
The N81 at Poulaphouca is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.
