Met Éireann issued the warning today.
People in parts of Cork and Waterford have woken up to a light dusting of snow, as temperatures are to fall below freezing once again tonight.
Met Éireann is forecasting a chilly but mostly dry weekend as a high pressure system stays close to Ireland.
The incident occurred at around 2.00pm on the main R478 Lahinch to Doolin coast road.
A Status Yellow rainfall warning is currently in place for Leitrim, Sligo and north Mayo until 9pm.
Some people hit out at Met Éireann’s predictions, while others complained about its app.
Localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility are likely in Kerry.
Met Éireann has said there will be heavy showers or longer spells of rain over Ireland with flooding.
