Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two women stabbed in Co Down

The PSNI received a report this morning that a man armed with two knives was attacking two women inside a property on Stream Street in Downpatrick.
Only one street over, about 20,000 people had gathered for the homecoming of the Irish Olympians.
Gardaí and other emergency service personnel were called to the scene at 3.10am at Cathedral Street, Dublin 1.
The Met Police said the incident does not appear to be terror-related.
The incident happened at a service station and shop at Newtown Road in the town earlier this evening.
A man in his 40s has been arrested and is being detained by Gardaí in Kerry.
The attack occurred in the Hardwicke Street area of Dublin 1 this evening.
Gardaí confirmed the news tonight.
